I'm also a big fan of Glamour Boys. Such a great band.

So here for this, as both bands were very underrated and some of my faves (I was at that same Fishbone show, and I ended up being able to see Living Colour in NYC later on). Speaking of underrated, did you ever hear Corey Glover's solo record? In another time, it would have been a massive hit. https://youtu.be/-M3g5WY_epA?si=8oB_rONQjOfddtVN&t=622

I'll have to check out Corey's record. I am consistently surprised he's not mentioned more in the rock vocalist world. I suppose part of that is because a lot of rock is more about the acrobatics of a Freddie Mercury or Robert Plant.

Yes! Living Colour’s Vivid was one of the ever-present casette tapes in our family car. My dad and I listened to it on the way to school. I’m so grateful for my early introduction to their genius!

My sister was my gateway to Living Colour (and a billion other artists). My parents are a couple decades removed from having Vivid in the rotation. We were listening to Everly Brothers, Kingston Trio, and The Carpenters

I mean, those groups delivered some great harmonies!

No complaints. Some of the best harmony singing, some incredible songwriting of Felice/Boudleaux Bryant and Burt Bacharach, the insane voice of Karen Carpenter....hard to go wrong.
